From CA to FL and back
again
Unit C0177R does an 8000
mile journey in 30 days!
It was not the
first time that Andy Leitner had travel through out the country but
it was the first time in an RV and he says he will, “absolutely”
do it again.
Andy rented unit C0177R, a Winnebago Chalet 26A (C class) from Family RV and
before he checked her back in, together they had clocked 8657 miles.
Starting of course from Morgan Hill they headed southeast towards
Arizona. Completely exhausted and in no mood for hunting a
campground, Andy used C0177R for the purpose she was built. Finding a
wide spot in the road Andy pulled over and with all the convenience
of home, had a warm meal, a hot shower, and a soft bed. When Andy
woke up the next day he saw one of Arizona’s signature sunrises
near meteor crater. (See the picture of their roadside stop).
From there Andy and C0177R would travel due east until hitting Georgia and then south to
Florida. In Florida they would see the launch of a Delta 5 rocket
and also meet a new friend who seemed to be contemplating chewing
Andy’s leg off. (See the picture of Andy’s new friend).
Luckily Andy came
away with all of his limbs and was able to head north-by-north west
until landing at an old navy buddies’ campground in Missouri, they
had not seen each other in decades!!!
Thirty days later, with a camera full
of pictures and a head full of memories Andy brought C0177R back to us
with a huge smile on his face, a little tired perhaps, but satisfied.
Thank you Andy for your business, your
stories, and your pictures! Here’s to the adventurer in you, we’re
glad this was a great first experience and hope it’s not the last,
and may your story be an inspiration to other adventurers as well!
