We rented a Sprinter van RV for one week and we had a very positive experience! The RV was very clean when we got it. My husband was shown all the features before he left. They also go through the condition of the vehicle noting any existing damage in writing. All this takes about 40 minutes. He was given a cellphone number in case he had any questions while we were camping in Mount Lassen. The diesel RV ran great and we were all super comfortable (including two teenagers). We cleaned it and left it just as we got it and had no extra charges. Be prepared to be there for about 40 minutes when you return it as they meticulously go through the whole vehicle (as they did when we picked it up) to make sure it's returned without UNREASONABLE wear. From some of the reviews I read, people party hard in these rented vehicles and then complain about being charged for damages they cause. I'm glad I took these bitter reviews with a grain of salt! We did pay $50 extra for going slightly over the 100 mile/day limit but we knew that from reading the contract. We can't wait to do it again next summer!
